The mountain’s steep slopes and unpredictable weather require advanced mountaineering skills, physical fitness, and mental resilience from climbers attempting the ascent.
How long does a typical K2 Expedition last?
The duration of a K2 Expedition varies depending on factors such as the chosen route, weather conditions, and the climber’s experience level. On average, expeditions can range from six to eight weeks, including acclimatization periods, establishing high camps, and the summit push.
