Day 2: Islamabad to Skardu
Fly from Islamabad to Skardu, a picturesque town nestled in the Karakoram Mountains. Spend the day acclimatizing to the altitude and exploring Skardu’s local markets and sights.
Day 3: Skardu to Askole
Embark on a scenic jeep ride from Skardu to Askole, the last inhabited village before entering the wilderness of the Karakoram. The journey offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and valleys.
Day 4-10: Trek to Gasherbrum Base Camp
Begin the trekking expedition towards Gasherbrum Base Camp, following the scenic trails along the Baltoro Glacier. Pass through stunning landscapes, including rocky terrain, glacier crossings, and alpine meadows.
Day 11-20: Acclimatization and Camp Setup
Spend several days at Gasherbrum Base Camp for acclimatization and establishing higher camps. Ascend to Camps 1 and 2 to familiarize yourself with the terrain and prepare for the summit push.
Day 21-30: Summit Attempt
Make the summit push, navigating through technical terrain and overcoming challenges posed by altitude and weather conditions. Depending on the weather and team readiness, attempt to reach the summit of Gasherbrum 2.
Day 31-35: Descent and Return
Descend from the summit and retrace your steps back to Base Camp. Pack up camp and begin the trek back to Askole, where jeeps will be waiting to transport you back to Skardu.
Day 36: Skardu to Islamabad
Fly back to Islamabad from Skardu and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy a well-deserved rest and celebrate the successful expedition with the team.
Day 37: Departure
Depart from Islamabad for your onward journey home, carrying with you memories of an unforgettable adventure in the heart of the Karakoram Mountains.
